Unable to upload pdf

Why is my website at a designated size centered in the screen when brought up in a browser window? Typically, all websites "fit to the screen" when you are looking at them, but not mine. Is this a Homestead quirk or did I do something wrong?

Things have been sliding for several years now. Is Homestead ever going to do some upgrades??? There are features still listed that do not work, templates are beginning to look dated, and integration limitations haven't eased. Really hoping it gets some attention, soon!!
