I made some changes to DNS records. However, they are not propagating across internet

I keep getting the runaround about our website being down. This has cost our mom and pop business money, our reputation and put us in a very tenuous postion. I don't know what to do.

I was editing DNS and then saving. Now it shows double entries for everything. Even what I was not editing. I also says 48 hours to propagate which is insane. It should be minutes. When I try to clear the double entries, it fails.
