My Old site isn't secure??

Why does it say "not secure" on my website url?  Can I purchase an SSL cert for my site?

Is there a way to speak with a live person?

If you're using the old Sitebuilder Desktop, you're outa luck.

If you're using SB+, You can secure your website with cloudflare.

You can SSL your Sitebuilder Plus website by following this article:

If you're having trouble with the Cloudflare setup, you can always call for assistance at 1-800-710-1998.

@russell5607 How can I tell which platform was used to build the website?

@herman1922 If the program is loaded on your computer, you're using the oldest program, that's the Sightbuilder Desktop Version of the website builder software. If you're working from the cloud, the Sitebuilder Plus.

@russell5607 It was created in 2011, and don't remember if I used anything loaded on my computer or just logging into homestead and working from there.

You can identify your Homestead sitebuilder by looking at the "Powered by" link in your website's footer, or by logging into your account and checking your website manager to see which builder is being used for your site. Your site is likely using the newer Website Builder if it's a new site, while older sites may be using Sitebuilder Plus or the original Sitebuilder Desktop
Check the footer and website
  • Look for a "Powered by" link: Many builders include a credit link in the footer of the website, often near the bottom of the page.
  • Log in to your account: Log in to your Homestead account. The community.homestead.com indicates that you can go to the "Websites Manager" tab to see the builder for your existing sites.
Understand your builder type
  • Website Builder: This is the newest builder and is used for all new sites created on Homestead.
  • Sitebuilder Plus: An online version of the older desktop program. It can only be used on existing sites that were already created with this builder.
  • Sitebuilder DeskThis is the original, older program. It is less compatible with modern systems
