ISSUE ADDING PHOTOS TO STORE ITEMS

I've been doing the same thing for years, adding products and photos for those products with no issues. Yesterday, I attempted to add another item in the store and add a photo. Clicked "add image" and it sends me to a new interface. I clicked "add image" on the new interface, selected the image and it just sits there spooling. I've attempted this several times with the same results. One time, I even waited over 20 minutes and still nothing.

Whats going on? Please advise.

You may have timed out. Close the page, log out and then login again. Try adding the image again.

I've done that several times. I've even closed out and re logged in, same results. I used to be able to go directly to my images folder to upload a photo. Now I have some new interface that gives me the option to upload image (which I've been doing) or search stock photos

@chopdocs6407 Are you using SB+ or Websitebuilder?

@chopdocs6407 I hope this will help you.

Adding products and photos to my homestead websitebuilder website?

According to Google:

When an image upload sits spinning indefinitely in Homestead's website builder, it usually means the platform's editor interface is experiencing an active session hang or a temporary script block. [1]
You can break out of this loop and successfully add your products and photos by following these troubleshooting steps:
1. Clear Cached Session Blocks

The upload window "spooling" often stems from corrupt session cookies or an overloaded browser cache holding onto a failed upload attempt.
  • Close the Homestead editor tab entirely.
  • Clear your browser's Cache and Cookies for the past 24 hours.
  • Re-open the browser, log back into your Homestead account, and try adding the item fresh.
2. Force a Fresh Editor State

If your changes are stuck, forcing the platform to re-verify your site structure from the account backend can clear interface glitches.
  • Navigate to your main Homestead Websites Manager.
  • Under the More options for your specific site, select "Create new site archive file". [1]
  • Generating a fresh backup archive forces the system to sync and index all current files, which frequently resets stuck background scripts. [1]
3. Sanitize Image Specifications

Even if the image file looks fine, underlying metadata, unsupported color profiles (like CMYK instead of sRGB), or oversized files can stall the Homestead server-side processing script.
  • Format: Save the image strictly as a standard .jpg or .png.
  • Resolution: Lower the dimensions. Avoid raw digital camera sizes; scale the photo down to roughly 1000px to 1200px on its longest side.
  • File Name: Strip out any special characters, spaces, or extra periods from the image filename (e.g., rename product_photo 1.2.jpg to productphoto1.jpg).
