How to Delete A Website That Is Tied To A Domain

Haven't done it for awhile, but if you go into your controls for the DOMAIN, wherever that lives, and change the nameservers to wherever you want it to go, it will make the break with the homestead site and then you will be able to delete the site.  Not 100% sure that still works, but it should.  I hope that helps you.

1. Log In: Sign in to your domain registrar (like GoDaddy) and your website hosting/builder account (like WordPress.com, Webflow, Google Domains, Microsoft 365, etc.).
2. Find Domain Settings: Navigate to your dashboard and look for sections like "Domains," "Hosting," "Upgrades," or "Project Settings".
3. Locate the Connection: Find the domain you want to unassociate. You might see it listed under connected domains or in the DNS records.
4. Remove the Connection:
   • Look for an icon (like ⋮ or trash can) next to the domain.
   • Select "Remove," "Delete," or "Detach" from the menu or prompt.
   • Confirm the action in any pop-up windows.
5. Verify DNS (If Needed): If you're using an external registrar, you might need to go to your registrar's DNS settings and remove the specific records (A records, CNAMEs) pointing to your old site.
6. Delete the Website: Once the domain is detached, you can proceed to delete the actual website through its respective platform's settings.
