What's up with websites being discontiued Jan 15, 2026? Why am I just hearing about this?

I'm pretty pissed and stressed at the moment with Homestead.  I have received no communication informing me of this change.  I've had three websites for close to 20 years and this is how corporate "honors" their customers?  I need assistance migrating my websites (that I have paid for through July 2026) Has homstead gone bust? As a faithful customer I'm owed at least an explanation.  Are you bankrupt? Greedy? Don't give a rat's azz?  I'm pretty disgusted at the moment.

I am in the same boat. I only just found out because I needed to add to my website page. There has been no communication or notice that this was going to happen. What is going on?  I have been with you for years. Is Homestead going off the internet?  Does this mean my current website will be deleted? I need to know. How to I keep my domain name so I can transfer to another host server. I need to know this asap as it takes me a long time to build my website.  Please respond.

I am in the same situation. We have not been informed by email. May Homestead or the new owner communicate before the big change/move/disappearance?

I just saw this today ((December 19, 2025)!  I have received NO notification of this at all.

Does this mean my web site is going to be GONE?  What about my email address that is tied to my website?  Will my email address be gone too?  I'm paid up through July 2026.  I have been with Homestead for about 20 years!  If Homestead is going away HOW do I keep my domain name so I can transfer to another host server? PLEASE answer my questions SOON.

@hanna1299

I'm paid through July. Have been with Homestead since 2001 (or earlier--I'd have to check my records.)

Last summer Homestead's email system lost ALL my emails, and ALL my email folders (with emails that were needed and ALL my entries in my address file.  I was charged $50 to get my files back.  Well guess what----VERY few emails were restored in a haphazard way. My email address folder along with other folders that grouped emails I needed to keep for specific reasons are still ALL GONE.  Oh, yes, along with all the lost email files, my $50 is also gone even though my issue was FAR from being resolved/fixed. (And no communication from Homestead--not even a "apologetic sorry."

Last summer Homestead's email system lost ALL my emails, and ALL my email folders (with emails that were needed and ALL my entries in my address file (in fact, my address file is still missing.)  I was charged $50 to get my files and folders back (I was told they'd try.  Well guess what----very few emails were restored in a haphazard way and dumped into my current email-box. My email address folder along with other folders that grouped emails I kept for specific reasons are still ALL GONE.

Oh, yes, along with all the lost email files, my $50 is also gone even though my issues were FAR from being resolved/fixed. (And no further communication from Homestead--not even an "apologetic sorry."  So much for being a loyal customer. :( Will see what the new year brings.

So much confusion and stress .... simply because of poor communication.

If we all knew enough about techy stuff to decipher what their "Web Listing Service" actually was then we probably wouldn't need Homestead at all !

But whoever's owned it over the years has never been hot on communication .... except when it's subscription renewal time of course.

If i could've easily migrated out I would have done so years ago tbh.

And I guarantee I'm not alone there.
