unauthorize editing of website-Slow Homestead response

As previously reported in this community, my website since last Friday has been scrambled. My Schedule Page on our website has been unreadable with A, a characters inserted in the text fields such that effectively the website is not working. This is a website for a band and the Schedule Page is very important to our business. Through Homestead Community I see that others are having the same issue as me. I have placed calls daily to the Technical support side of Homestead without change in the situation. Today I called the Sales Support side of Homestead. I have been a Homestead customer with this website in essentially the same format for 12 years. I built this website on Homestead's Sitebuilder+ platform and it has stayed there. In May I again paid Homestead $223  for them to host my site. In my mind Homestead is not hosting my website. My customers can't read it. By the way the site reads perfect from the site manager page.

What I learned from Homestead Sales support today is that Homestead wants to shut down Sitebuilder+. (I think with this latest issue this will force that to happen). It seems they don't want to fix the issues that I and others are seeing. The Technical Support and Sales Support side of Homestead boy say that my remedy is for me to recreate my website at their Website Builder site. We are supposed to spend the time and effort to recreate a site on this different platform with no financial credit from Homestead. Guess who's making out on that deal.? A good company would  perhaps offer some financial reward for the additional work they have created for us (maybe a full year's credit for our additional work and our sticking with their company.)

I wanted to share this with others like me out there. Maybe it's time to look for a new host company.

I also gave them my hourly rate for having to redo every text box due to their issue and asked for a credit...no response.  I will be leaving Homestead as soon as my event is over in August.  Such a shame.

Microsoft doesn't give rewards when they upgrade Windows either. You upgrade or you suffer the consequences.

This is clearly not an upgrade, russell5607.  This is a development issue that is not being fixed and requiring users to manually rebuild large parts of their websites with limited functionality...for a service that is paid for in marketing their businesses.  If this were an "upgrade" there would have been a communication to users in advance with instructions on what needed to be done (no one has told me about moving to a different builder platform) and a timeframe given to complete the changes before taking down a paid-for-service.  Unprofessional, to say the least.

@nikkole7191 It's not my fault. You have been out of touch.
