Restoring from Archive

For years, I have been dutifully creating, downloading, and saving an archive copy of my website files. I can see that all the elements and .xpf page files are there in the archive, but I've never needed to use any of them for recovery. I just felt safe in the knowledge that I could if I had some mishap. Well, I had a mishap and overwrote a complete page with a new page I was creating.

My normal procedure is to call up an existing page, SAVE AS a new name, and start the new version. OOPS! For some reason, this time I skipped the copying part and changed the original page, saved it, and published it with other content. When I discovered the goof, I thought to myself, NO PROBLEM! I've got an archive to draw from.

WELL... sure enough, I found the original .xpf of the page that I wanted (along with an .html file of the same name), but when I try to import it via the file manager, it tells me that the file type is not accepted. QUESTION: How can I use my archive to retrieve my overwritten page? Thanks for any help.
