Pointing my site at Cloudflare's DNS servers made it disappear, please bring it back!

Hello, the state of New Jersey is making me add CloudFlare security to our site. I changed the DNS servers as CloudFlare instructed on the Homestead page and gave it way more than  48 hours but it didn't go through. Then I noticed my domain servers were locked  and thought YES! there's the problem. I unlocked them and gave it another 48 hours but my site is still offline. Please help!

@charlotte3358

My homestead website is getting an error code 521.

  • Check DNS Records: Ensure the A or CNAME record for your site points to the correct origin server IP address, as incorrect records can cause the connection failure.

Hello, the website is currently up and running; however, it is displaying as ‘Not Secure.’ We can assist you in checking your Cloudflare settings, or you may follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to your Cloudflare account.

  2. Go to DNS > Records.

  3. Turn the clouds on next to the DNS entries for your domain name and for ‘www.’ (the clouds should appear orange).

This will help ensure proper SSL coverage and resolve the security warning.

You need to set the SSL to Flexible.

  1. The first step is now completed.

  2. Please review the Domain Summary and confirm that the SSL shows Flexible.

    • If it does not, click the SSL option and select Flexible.

    • Alternatively, you can click Crypto at the top, then use the drop‑down menu on the right to select Flexible.

Once selected, the setting should save automatically.

Could you kindly drop the domain name in question and clarify who your hosting provider is? Should it be Homestead?
