Trying to transfer domain - Auth code

I am attempting to transfer my domain and the new provider is asking for: An Authorization Code (Auth code or EPP Key) is like a password to prevent unauthorized transfers of your domain. Where can I find this?

Under the domains dashboard is the option "email auth code" When I click on that it says the "There was an error retrieving this domain's contact email. Please try again later." So I made progress but still don't have it.

I'm goin to call them tomorrow.

I found where to get it, its an option under the domain name in the dashboard. "email your auth code" BUT when i click on it, i get an error message "There was an error retrieving this domain's contact email. Please try again later.

Seems like they are trying to keep their customers from leaving. I have the same error message There was an error retrieving this domain's contact email. Please try again later" but find it interesting that I am receiving plenty of emails from them as well as my login is my email. This seems illegal.

If possible, could someone from the Homestead IT department unlock my authorization code and send me the confirmation email so that my website can get back online?
