Renamed Folders Lost When Desktop Repair

I had dozens of renamed folders that were not syncing to your mail server.  Today a coworker suggested I do a repair.  Instead of repairing, it wiped out my entire inbox on my desktop and replaced it with the server inbox.  I lost yrs of email records on active long schedule projects.  We did not have a back up of the .ost on the desktop to recover.  Is there a chance that a copy of my desktop inbox was saved somewhere on the mail server as a .bak before it replaced my inbox on my desktop?  Apparently, that is suppose to happen, but no .bak files on my desktop....so maybe it transferred to your mail server in an obscure location.  This all started at 9:30a this morning.  I lost an entire day and was already planning to work this entire weekend.  Please help!!!!!!!!  Tammie Floyd, Cell 281.788.0374
