Drowning in Spam!
We have been getting so much spam over the last few days that we can barely keep up. Over 200 spam emails in the last 2 days alone. What is going on?! From other posts I've seen on the forum, this is obviously a Homestead issue and needs to be fixed immediately. I've seen the suggestion to move over to Google Workspaces but we should not have pay to redirect our emails to another platform/app to fix this.

We have provided the information you need regarding the spam issue.
Spam is unavoidable even large and well‑known companies encounter it. Since Homestead operates in a shared hosting environment, spam is inevitable and can arise for several reasons:
Compromised device – Clicking unsecured links in emails may expose your system.
Shared hosting exposure – All customers share resources, which increases vulnerability.
As mentioned previously, you have several options to reduce spam:
Add DMARC/DKIM – Configure these records in your zone file using a third party service like Cloudflare to improve email reputation.
Manual filters in RoundCube – Create custom filtering rules to block unwanted mail.
Upgrade to professional email – Services like Google Workspace offer stricter spam filtering and better protection.
We are also investigating whether this issue is related to the server.
For customers who want full control over spam filtering, we highly recommend moving to a dedicated server.
Thank you,
Homestead Support
