Email authorization for domain transfer

I am attempting to transfer my domain.  I have unlocked the domain in the dashboard, but every time I click "email your authorization code" I receive the message 

 "Lock Status  Unknown"  "Authorization Code Could not retrieve email"   "There was an error retrieving this domain's contact email. Please try again later."

Can someone please advise as to how to get past this error?  Thanks!

I had to call directly and ask them to email it to me.  Seems like an internal error on their part.

How long did it take to get the email.  I called yesterday morning and still have not received it 24 hours later?

I received it within an hour. 

However, I am still dealing with this.  The transfer process is incredibly slow.  It seems to me that Homestead is definitely having issues.  I would call them again and let them know that you never received the code.
