Domain name not working

I redirected my domain name to a different site (NEWsglbc.homestead.com) and now neither the new site or the old site is working! What's wrong?

To resolve a DNS error for your website, start by flushing your computer's DNS cache, restarting your router, and clearing your browser's cache. Then, check that your website's DNS records are correctly configured with your domain registrar, ensuring the A record points to the correct IP address. If the issue persists, try accessing the website from a different device or network, and verify that your domain hasn't expired.
Website & Domain Configuration
These steps address issues with your website's domain name settings: 1. Verify DNS Records:
Log in to your domain registrar and confirm that your domain's A record correctly points to your web server's IP address.

You can use these instructions to point your domain to your Sitebuilder Plus site:
If you are using Homestead Sitebuilder Plus
If you have multiple sites in your account, you will need to specify which one your domain points to.
Log in to your Homestead account.
In the left navigation menu, click Domains.
Find your domain name in the list and click Change Site Association.
Select your Sitebuilder Plus site from the drop-down menu and click Save.
If this is a new association, you may also need to go to Websites Manager, select your site, and click Publish.
If you registered your domain with another provider
You must update your domain's DNS settings to point to your Sitebuilder site. You can generally find this information in your site editor's dashboard.
Log in to your Sitebuilder account and find the correct IP address and CNAME record needed for your domain.
Log in to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Crazy Domains).
Find the DNS Management settings for your domain.
Create a new "A" record with an empty or @ host field that points to the Sitebuilder IP address.
Create a new CNAME record for www that points to your Sitebuilder site.
Save your changes. It can take up to 72 hours for the changes to take effect.
If your domain was already associated
If you suddenly see this error, you may be experiencing a DNS lookup issue or need to clear your browser's cache.
Clear your cache: A stored version of your site in your browser's cache can prevent you from seeing the updated, live version.
Check DNS status: Check the CNAME status with a tool like https://www.ipvoid.com/dig-dns-lookup/ to verify your domain records are active.
Contact support: If the issue persists, contact your Sitebuilder provider's customer support for help.

Thanks! I'm not good at technical modifications. I would probably make things worse. My domain name was a Homestead name I've had for years. I updated my website to a new Homesteadcloud site to work better with mobile users. I then redirected my old domain name to this new site and now neither work. I haven't tried contacting Homestead yet. Thanks for your time. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about it to be able to fix the problem myself. I thought that it would just work!

This is the message I get when I try to open the site -

What happened?

You've requested a page on a website (www.sglb.net) that is on the Cloudflare network. Cloudflare is currently unable to resolve your requested domain (www.sglb.net). There are two potential causes of this:

  • Most likely: if the owner just signed up for Cloudflare it can take a few minutes for the website's information to be distributed to our global network.
  • Less likely: something is wrong with this site's configuration. Usually this happens when accounts have been signed up with a partner organization (e.g., a hosting provider) and the provider's DNS fails.

@chris1673 Nobody is good at this at first. You need to study and try to follow the instructions. Get help from the homestead staff. Try getting a FREE SEO Consultation: 1-888-412-9962, they may still be available.

Did you recently add Cloudflare? Most likely, you tried to add Cloudflare to secure your website and you've failed to set up the DNS record as directed. Review the platform options below and review your installation to ensure it's correct.

You can SSL your Sitebuilder Plus website by following this article:
