No idea. I am trying to transfer my domains out and quit this homestead-com thing. Turns out i cannot even contact them by e-mail or otherwise by phone.

Does anyone have the right contact information?

Please do post it here.

I am in The Netherlands and been doing this for over 20 years but it seems they completely left the building. 1) Please post: e-mail address of homestead.com / 2) telephone to contact them.

Okay Judelyn, understood. I have just checked in the spam mail box but cannot find any e-mail from homestead-com. I also can't find anything in any other e-mail box. Or the main incoming mail.

But I can state my service wishes. As described in prior exchanges on the forum I want to transfer my domain names out before cancelling subscription. That is ALL domain names active in the account drbenopolo. Most important of these are

a) asiareport-com

b) chinareport-com

c) drben-net

d) drben-com

The problem is: each domain name has a separate management of domain name information. These all run to expired e-mail: drben@home-nl / @home does not exist anymore. I need the e-mail information with the domain names to match the information on main account: drbenopolo

My instructions for this are:

1)please change the e-mail attached to all domain names to drben.com@gmail.com

I hereby authorise you to do so.

2) Please notify me when domain names are linked to drben.com@gmail e-mail address. So that i can take the next step of transferring out.

This will enable me to transfer the domain names out.

I will then notify you for secondary instructions to close the account.

Please do hurry, end of the month is coming.

I will instruct my bank to no longer accept billings from homestead.

If you need to restore a domain name on your account, we highly recommend contacting us through Phone Support at 1‑800‑710‑1998.

If that number is not available, please reply to this message with the domain name you would like to restore along with your authorization to proceed.

Okay Judelyn, thank you for the response. My domain name is not lost but I am unable to access the authorization code within my account: drbenopolo. There are various domain names such as drben.com, drben.net, chinareport.com, asiareport.com - its been with you for like 20 years.

The problem is: in my main account you have my e-mail address. However, if i try and edit the e-mail address (contact info) for every domain involved, i cannot alter that information. The e-mail address attached to the domain names = drben@home.nl // tis e-mail address and even the company no longer exist. 

Please help alter this to the gmail account attached to my drbenopolo account at homestead. Then i can transfer my domains out myself. Thanks.

The only problem left then would be to cancel the account a few days later. The "cancel all services" button in my account also does not work. Personally i think that is very sloppy and amounts to hostage taking.

Btw. I live in The Netherlands and the 1-800 number is for USA only. In my country 1-800 is the telephone information number. I also tried the International number that is on your website but the phone company says: I am sorry the telephone number you have dialed does not exist. It doesn't exist. My friends in the USA SF,Ca tell me its a Palo Alto net number.

Idea: if the number doesn't exist then don't put it on the website?

Or: if it does exist make sure instructions are proper.

I think it doesn't exist.

I would like to have some help here. Step 1: I authorise you at homestead to edit the contact info with the domain names to fit with the correct information i have with the general account name drbenopolo. I just checked and so far the domain name contact information still can not be altered (edit contact info). Your system refuses.

That means that right now i cannot transfer my 5000+ dollars worth of domain names out.

Kindly help out with this ASAP.

Soon as the domain name transfer codes are sent to me and i arranged transfer to a new host i will contact you here again and then will authorise you to delete the account entire.

Okay, that would be the same telephone number provided in the account drbenopolo // Best would be: The Netherlands (0031) and then 050 573 68 61

I may leave for an hour or 2 now to go to the city council for a meeting. But I will be around in the evening. Considering you are in California USA and the time difference that will be a good fit. I will try and be available until 2 am (night time) here so you would have a better opportunity and more time. Ps: I can log into homestead very fast so we can arrange things together. Thanks! Okay, Judelyn, I am not getting a response on my request to help with the two domains drben-com + chinareport-com.

1 ### Thank you for the help so far but apparently these 2 most important domains are stuck in a 60 day waiting period.

I have no time for that. Please remove / switch to opt out 0f 60 day waiting period.

2 ## I am not going to pay another bill for all this so my request is today 29 april please terminate my account drbenopolo.

I want out of this Homestead stuff cuz clearly it is not working for me on this huge distance to you + the faults in the online accounts and not even being able to switch off my own account through the buttons available in your homestead system (which is frankly unacceptable - its hostage taking).

Please do this ASAP. And then 3 ## please report that back to me.

Yup, i have seen it. I replied with a new e-mail address + the IP numbers. Waiting for the changes. Then i will initiate transfer and notify you that i have.
