Site not Showing Up in Google search after Verifying

My site is not showing up in a Google Search even after using the Google Verification method.  It has been days and now, I have received a new error message from Google...

"Duplicate Without User-Selected Canonical Error"

I have published additional website on Homestead Website Builder and never ran into this problem.  Help please!

No one here can help you. I have had your same problem for 6 years.

I have done my research on the "Duplicate Without User-Selected Canonical Error" that you got on google search console. If you know HTML then you will be able to resolve, but if you don't, then you are screwed.

I will try to explain what I have learned about the error message. You have either a website or webpage that is similar to one of your other sites or pages, and the Googlebot's cannot determine which page is the most important or main page or site. So, you need to insert an HTML code identifying the main pages or site or delete the duplicate or similar pages or site. I have been using Homestead since 2000, the original site builder was recognized by Googlebot's. My sites got first page top 10 rankings on google for many years, then came smartphones. I switched to the new website builder for the purpose of adapting to the smartphone, but that turned out to be a disaster. My sites on the new platform website builder lost all their top 10 rankings on google. Imagine that feeling...it's a punch in the face.

After doing more research, I learned that it is hard for googlebots to read the code use to build the templates that Homestead website builder is using. Wordpress websites are a better option because the bots can read the code easily. I hope this was helpful, if you must appear on Google first page, then you need to hire a professional experienced in SEO. Either way rankings these days cost $$$$$$.

Thanks very much for explaining this.  It's really frustrating!  I have been using Homestead for years as well and this is the first time I have run into this problem.  I will try to reach out to their support via phone but I'm not hopeful.
