New website

I am creating a new website. I posted the question previously, but it hasn't been answered. I am nearly ready to publish what I have so far. Do I just need to name the new one what I want and delete the existing? We have a .com and a .org, for some reason. The .org site isn't currently being used because of some sort of mixup. I want it replaced with the one I am creating. Then I want the .com one to be gone. We have no need for 2 websites. I cannot locate info you provided previously.

You just need to "associate" the domain you actually want to use to the new website.  If you bought those domains at homestead, they will be on your domain list and you can connect the one you want.  If you bought them at someplace like GoDaddy, you need to go into your domain manager (wherever they live) and add the Homestead NAMESERVERS to your domain records.  What you will be looking for is the "manage domains" or something similar in that account.   Be sure to add all three: NS1.MDNSSERVICE.COM
NS2.MDNSSERVICE.COM
NS3.MDNSSERVICE.COM

Here is homestead's article on it, too.

If you have email attached to your domain (like contact@mydomainname.org), you have to update that information as well.  To find those tutorials just do a GOOGLE search rather than pour through the community forum.  Lots faster.

Thank you, I'm using the Homestead Website Builder. Thanks for the quick comment. I appreciate it.
