Google, HTML How to get rid of it showing
It appears the HS peope are not chiming in for others in the last few days, so let me see if a member on here can help. (Russell ??) On my homepage, I have an html code google sent me years ago to "verify" the site and help with searches.
I have put the code block at the top as they suggested, I have hidden behind the blue header bar, centered it, covered it with a white block on top and moved it to the back - no matter what I do, it shows on the published page at the extreme left. Always visible to the user! I moved it to the very bottom and ----it shows up there and again at the page top.
Not really a problem, but ugly, unprofessional looking, and certainly not necessary for anyone to see. It is here:

Try enter the html code using "Page Settings". You may have entered the html code using the website editor.

I am lost my man! I have gone to PG settings, Adv Settings, and at the top is: <head> tag html
In the box next to that is: -site <"meta name =google-site-verification"content= CMRP then a string of letter & numbers ending in />
I can't highlight it to copy it! Cursor has no effect - OTHER than I can drag and drop it to.....either the box with:
java script "margin: 0;">java script on unload
So my options are those....as far as I can tell. Only other thing I tried was I deleted the html box...and the words still show at top;left! That must come from the adv settings box, that is the only thing on the page with that text left.
If I edit, and drag that text out of the head tag html box - I may jeopardize search engine results. So.....I am lost on this. Does any of this help you or anyone else to get the text to stop showing? Thanks again, Greg

You should have used Page Settings to install the google HTML.

What say ye Russell.....or any other informed soul? Seems like a little lack of tech support on here from HS. You would think they might have someone check in to help solve those other ten problems listed above this one on the forum. I would like an answer to my problem, but I am not really expecting one.
