To create a CNAME record on Homestead, you can:
  1. Log in to your Homestead account
  2. Click the Domains menu item
  3. Click Advanced DNS Settings under the domain you want to change
  4. Click the Edit button
  5. Find the CNAME for www that shows websites.homestead.com under CNAMES
  6. If you want to publish your page on the www subdomain, change it to secure.pageserve.co
  7. Otherwise, create a new record with the subdomain you want to publish your pages on
  8. Click the Submit button at the bottom
  9. Click the Submit button again to confirm
A CNAME is a DNS record that aliases $domain-A to $domain-B. You can use CNAME records to point to your Homestead websites instead of an IP address. This provides flexibility if the IP address needs to be changed.
