I have issues saving and publishing changes in my Homestead Website Builder website. I am having trouble with the Website Builder editor; I get an error prompting me to try again when I attempt to save or publish changes (I have attached an image). I NEED TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE—can you help me?

To resolve the saving and publishing error in the Homestead Website Builder, you should first verify your account storage limits and page count. [1, 2]
Because the editor throws a "try again" error during both saving and publishing, the system is likely blocking the update due to an account restriction or a localized browser timeout. [1, 2, 3]
1. Check Your Account Limits (Most Common Cause)
Homestead will completely prohibit saving or publishing updates if you exceed your allocated plan limits: [1, 2]
  • Storage Space: Log into your Homestead Account Dashboard and navigate to My Account > Account Summary to view your active disk space. Basic plans often have a 25 MB limit. If you have exceeded this by uploading large images or files, the editor will fail to save. You can clear space using the File Manager. [1, 2, 3]
  • Page Count: If you are on a restricted 5-page plan and have accidentally created a 6th page, the builder will throw an error upon saving or publishing. [1]
2. Bypass Browser and Editor Glitches
If your storage and page limits are fine, the editor is likely experiencing a cache or synchronization glitch: [1]
  • Use an Incognito/Private Window: Log into the builder via an Incognito window in Google Chrome or Firefox. This bypasses corrupted cookies or extensions blocking the editor script. [1, 2, 3]
  • Force a Refresh: Open your site editor, make a tiny text change (like adding a space), and press F5 or Ctrl + F5 to force a browser refresh, then attempt to save immediately. [1, 2, 3]
  • Rename and Re-save: Go back to your main Homestead Websites Manager, slightly rename your site to force a server-side sync, and open the builder again. [1]
3. Verify Page Status
Ensure that the specific page you are editing hasn't inadvertently been locked into "Draft" mode within the editor menu, which can occasionally prevent global publishing commands from completing. [1]
If the issue persists after clearing storage and testing in incognito mode, there may be an intermittent server outage or a database lock on your specific account, requiring you to contact Homestead Support directly to reset your editor instance.
