move site on google drive to host, use google work space.

We currently have a web site hosted by Homestead - http://www.msga1973.com/
I have built a new website on Google drive and we would like to replace the Homestead web site with it. https://sites.google.com/view/newmsga/home
I see that we can add Google Workspace to Homestead. Do I need to sign up for Workspace through Homestead or use the Google Drive account I created for to host the development drive site.
I see our current site's DNS is hosted by Homestead/Network solutions. Can we cancel the old web site service and point the DNS to the new home page at Workspace and remain a client of Homestead. Our needs are very simple, we use it for our golf league. We currently use Google Forms, Sheets and Sites for sign and messaging that are linked from our Homestead Sites home page.
