HEIC pictures

Question

My iphone pics are HEIC files.  Your editor will not support those.  Is there some quick/easy way to convert them.  I'm tired of this

You can convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG format on your iPhone by using the Files app or by creating a Shortcuts app automation. The Files app method involves copying the HEIC photo from the Photos app and pasting it into a folder in the Files app, which automatically converts it to JPG. Alternatively, using the Shortcuts app allows for bulk conversion with a custom shortcut that saves the new JPG files to a chosen album.   Using the Files App (Manual Conversion) Open the Photos app: and select the HEIC photo you want to convert.  Tap the share icon: (the square with an arrow pointing up) and select 'Copy Photo'.  Open the Files app: and navigate to 'On My iPhone' or create a new folder.  Long-press: on an empty space within the folder and select 'Paste'.  The photo will be pasted and automatically converted to JPG format.
