Per Google:

Based on the search results, it appears Homestead SiteBuilder Plus does not offer direct FTP access
Instead, you would need to use the File Manager within the SiteBuilder Plus platform to upload and manage your files, including an .htaccess file.
Here's a general approach based on the information provided:
  1. Locate the File Manager:
    • Click on Websites Manager in the left navigation menu.
    • Click Edit Site.
    • Click on your domain name or site name at the top.
    • Choose View File Manager from the drop-down menu.
  2. Upload the .htaccess file:
    • Once inside the File Manager, you should be able to upload your .htaccess file. The search results mention an "Import button" or a method to "upload the file from your computer".
  3. Publish the Changes:
    • After uploading, you need to publish your site to make the changes live.
Important Considerations:
  • File Naming: The .htaccess file must be named exactly .htaccess (with a period at the beginning).
  • Location: Ensure you upload the .htaccess file to the correct directory, which is usually the root directory of your website.
  • Support: If you encounter difficulties, contacting Homestead's customer support or exploring the Homestead Community for more specific guidance related to .htaccess files in SiteBuilder Plus might be beneficial.
